How Could I Forget to Share...?

Well, those who follow me on Twitter and are Facebook friends have seen my new hairstyle. But I forgot to share with my blog followers :-o Silly me. So here are a few pics. It's braided on the left side and around the back, with just the front and right side left in a twist out. It's been this way for about a week now. I hope to leave in another 1-2 weeks. We'll see... I had to wash it 2 days ago, my scalp was itchy even though I've been spraying it with Oyin's Juices 'n Berries. It helped but didn't fully eliminate the itchies. Anyone got any ideas/suggestions? Hopefully, it's something I already have. :)

For my braids I use and oil water mix for the itchies. I try to keep it as simple as possible b/c i notice the more ingredients in some products the more it itches. I'd spray with water and then use castor oil on my scalp. It has done wonders with my and my son's hair.

nourish and shine (jane carter) works to but its sooooo damn expensive.
I also have a mix of cinnamon oil and shea butter.

Thank you! Now THAT, I can do. I will try the oil/water spray mix and castor oil when I get home. Thanks so much for the suggestion.

Your hair looks lovely Sis!!! Did u get it professionally done? I agree with Kingsmomma about the water and oil mix spray. I usually use coconut oil, water, aloe vera juice, and peppermint oil(few drops). This mix keeps my hair moisturizeda and scalp free of irritations and itchiness.

Oooh I like, this look great!

When I get the itchies, I do an ACV rinse. I shampoo then pour 1 part vinegar/3 parts water in a spray bottle. Then I rinse with warm water. The smell goes away once its dry. Hope this helps!

Your hair and outfit look wonderful.

Glad your itchies are gone.

When I get the itchies from dry scalp, I make a mix of aloe vera juice/gel with a few drops of peppermint and tea tree essential oils.

Thank you! You ladies are helping me big time ;-)

This is too adorable. I agree with the recommendations. Definitely helps me since my scalp tends to dry more in the winter than any other season.
